About Us
We are a hands-on cooking school focused on authentic Italian regional recipes, fresh pasta, and creating memorable experiences around the table. Our classes are designed for individuals who love to cook and are looking for experiences to learn new skills. We offer a full schedule of public, private and corporate team building classes - designed for food lovers of all levels.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable, upbeat Cooking School Assistant who loves food, people, and a well-run kitchen. This role supports our instructors and students before, during, and after class, helping ensure every class feels organized, welcoming, and fun.
What You’ll Do
The position is split into 2 areas – a hands-on role during classes and helping the owner of the school with administrative tasks.
During Classes
Set up cooking stations with ingredients, tools, and equipment before class
Greet and assist students with check in as they arrive
Support the instructor during class (demo prep, ingredient help, general assistance)
Tidy and clean workstations during class as needed
Handle full kitchen and classroom cleanup after class
Administrative Tasks ~ 10-15 hours per month
Monitor and respond to the cooking school email inbox professionally and promptly
· Post and manage upcoming classes on Eventbrite, Facebook and our website
· Work with the owner to respond to private class inquiries
· Shop for ingredients
· Class follow-up - sending recipe books via email, answering questions
Schedule & Availability
Available for 5–8 classes per month, 6 to 12 hours per week depending on class schedule
Classes are primarily weeknights, with occasional weekends

Who You Are
Friendly, organized, and comfortable working with the public
Passionate about food, cooking, or Italian cuisine
Able to multitask and stay calm in a lively kitchen environment
Comfortable with basic computer tasks and social media platforms
Able to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting
Kitchen, hospitality, or event experience is a plus—but not required
Experience with Canva, Eventbrite and posting to Facebook and Instagram is a plus but will also train
